In the 1950s and early 60s I duck hunted every weekend in New Boston as a guest of John ?? John and his son John hauled fish from New Boston to Chicago each week, driving for the New Boston Fish Market?? John lived next to or near the small restaurant on Main St. in a home back off Main with a front yard that reached the street. We always stayed at the Abe Lincoln Hotel where the heat travelled to the 2nd floor thru floor grates, no forced air.
Are you aware who John was?? We did this for many years. It is great to remember our younger years.
